Havre de Grace is third straight female to win Horse of Year honors

It's the first time in American horse racing history that females have won the top award three years in a row. Havre de Grace, who won five of seven races, follows Rachel Alexandra (2009) and Zenyatta (2010).

In an unprecedented development in the history of American horse racing, Havre de Grace became the third consecutive female to win Horse of the Year honors at the 41st Eclipse Awards dinner on Monday night in Beverly Hills.
