SchoolBook: Manhattan Country School Students See Civil Rights Battles Still to Be Fought

Students at Manhattan Country School are establishing themselves as keepers of the Martin Luther King Jr. flame. The progressive, private school on East 96th Street has every eighth grader write an essay centered around M.L.K.'s vision, then march on a self-designed freedom trail on M.L.K. Day and recite the essays at stops along the way. Here are excerpts from several of those essays.
